Operation Sceptre - Knife Crime awareness week 

Over the course of the week starting on Monday 17th November up until Sunday 23rd November officers from the Glossop Safer Neighbourhood Team will be holding events, and giving out advice in regards to Operation Sceptre, our Knife Crime awareness week. 

During this week officers from the Gamesley Safer Neighbourhood Team will be conducting a knife sweep in and around Gamesley and will also be outside One Stop, Melandra Castle Road, SK13 6UQ on Sunday 23rd November 2025 from 11:00 until 12:00 with a knife amnesty bin. 

We are inviting residents of the community to attend and hand in any unwanted knives which are then recycled and used to make sculptures.
